I earned my doctorate from the Communication department at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  My main areas of focus were organizational communication and cultural studies.  More specifically, my dissertation focused on Detroit as a post-industrial site for subcultures and identity projects. 

I also earned my Master's degree from the University of Colorado in Communication and my Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in Mass Media Communication and Human Resources.
